What Should Paintball Masks Have
Choosing the right safety equipment is very important when it comes to playing paintball. The most obvious protective gear that you need is a head gear. Wearing the right equipment keeps the players safe and clean while playing.
The more popular models of paintball head gears are the ones that take into account both player comfort and protection. Any player will not be able to concentrate on the game properly is he or she is bothered about annoying equipments or the possibilities of getting hurt.
The most important piece of equipment that each player should have is a paintball mask. There are a lot of different styles of paintball masks available with different types to choose from. There are even certain clubs and groups that recommend specific brands and requirements for paintball masks before one can start playing in the field.
The concept behind a paintball mask is its ability to deflect bouncing ammunition in order for the player to avoid injuries in the head or face. The faceplate should be soft and comfortable even when worm for long hours but should at the same time be sturdy enough to take a hit.
Mouth Protection
A mouth guards provides protection for possible serious injuries for the lips and teeth. When a paintball hits the mouth protection, it should be able to prevent them from invading or lifting the rest of the mask. Keep in mind that the paint used in the paintballs are not healthy for consumption.
Breathability
A paintball mask should allow breathability for the player. Its vents and baffles allow players to breathe out without fogging the goggles with moisture from the breath. Some models of face masks makes hearing other voices easier compared to other models.
This is a very necessary feature for teams who need to communicate frequently and properly. But for those players who like to play one against each other, a voice projection feature does not really matter that much. And since inhaling splattered paintballs can be hazardous, your mask should also be able to prevent it from coming through the surface.
Head Protection
Your mask should be comfortable and soft to the ears but should also be flexible enough to deflect a hit without hurting your head. It should not muffle the sound but should not prevent paint splatter as well.
Goggles are also crucial to maintain an effective game strategy. The player should be able to see well while being properly protected from explosion. Although every player avoids pointing the paintball gun directly to the other person’s head or face, there are instances that are out of control.
So it is very important that the paintball mask is strong enough for any situation.
