Paintball field equipment

Paintball is a game that requires not just one’s agility, alertness, and daring.  These may be necessary to survive a game but these are not the only things necessary to win.  The game certainly requires more than just muscles. In fact, it deals a lot of mental work; like a chess game with more intense action. Because it is a team game, the players are expected to perform just like squads of professional soldiers.  There are tactics employed, whether offensive or defensive, and these are the primary reasons why teams end up as victors or losers.

Gearing for a Victorious Paintball Battle

However, even the meanest fighting machines developed by the armed forces can attest to the fact that physical capabilities and tactics alone may not make them successful in the battlefield.  They may win just with both but that is if the enemy are, even if better trained, are less equipped.  It is a fact nowadays that the equipment matters a lot in modern warfare.  Tactics can be made more creative and daring only if the equipment, from protective gear to all sorts of weaponry, is advanced.  The same reality goes for paintball although it is definitely not as dangerous as the real battles fought with real guns.

Paintball field equipment is essentially made up of the masks or goggles, the paintball marker, and the paintballs.  The gear, especially the padding and masks are meant to protect the eyes and other sensitive parts of the body from injuries.  Oftentimes, however, players do away with the padding.  The masks or goggles are important because paintball shots can be strong enough to harm the eyes seriously.  These have designs that totally protect the ears, nostrils, and the mouth as well.  The referee may be seen wearing an orange vest that looks like a protective gear.  Although it looks like a life vest, the referee’s vest actually just has utility pouches and for bottles of water or other drinks.

The paintball marker has the appearance of a gun.  Some of these even looked very much like the real guns.  This is, of course, the most important equipment in the game which is why it should be the most effective too.  If a team member is unfortunate enough to have a malfunctioning paintball marker, chances are he will be hit early on.  If not, his ineffectiveness in ‘combat’ will hurt the team’s chances of winning. Complementing the paintball marker in importance are the paintballs, the ammunitions in the world of real guns.  Just like real soldiers, players and teams make it a point to not to waste paintballs.  Shots must be accurate as much as possible in order for their paintball supply to last the entire game.
